Studio Policies
Please see below for a detail of studio policies. If you have any questions please call or email Ms. V for clarification.
Attendance
Attendance will be taken weekly in classes. Please inform teacher ahead of time if possible of absences. As we near performance or recital time please make your best effort to attend classes.
Class Cancellations
Ms. V's Dance will follow the Huron Valley School District's cancellations for inclement
weather. This will be emailed to the studio email list as well as posted on the
website under announcements. If classes are cancelled for any other reason the
teacher will alert the students with prior notice.

Recital Policy
To perform in the annual recital, students must participate in both the fall and spring session of dance class and purchase a costume and tights. A costume deposit fee of $30 is due in the first session (due by November 15th) and the balance of $35 will be due in the spring session. The costume fee includes a pair of coordinating tights.
Dress Code
To ensure that all students are appropriately dressed and wear appropriate shoes, Ms. V's Dance has enacted a strict dress code policy for the childrens safety. We respectfully ask parents to ensure that their children abide by the following policies or they may be asked to sit out for class.
Leotards and tights are preferred and are absolutely essential if your child is taking a ballet class. Exercise or aerobic attire is permitted for other forms of dance. Put your name in all dance
shoes and dancewear in case of loss. If you change shoes during class for a different subject, a dance bag is strongly recommended to avoid “shoe mix-ups.”
PLEASE NOTE: JEANS, JEAN SHORTS, JEGGINGS, PANTS, OR OTHER TYPES OF “SCHOOL ATTIRE” ARE NOT ALLOWED. If you are unable to change before coming to class, bring class clothes with you to change in the bathroom.
SHOES - Appropriate shoes must be worn for each subject. See list below:
Jazz: Ages 6-8 Tan Lace-up Leather Jazz Shoe
Ages 9-11 and Teen Tan Leather Slip-on Bootie or Shoe
Hip-Hop: Ages 9-11 and Teen Tan Leather Slip-on Bootie or Shoe

These items can be purchased locally from a variety of stores or ordered through Ms. V's Dance at specific times of the year. Please see the Apparel tab at the top of the page for studio items for sale.
